Your jobs, your clients, your prices — that's your business. Here is exactly where that information lives, in both versions of the app.
Free version
On your computer. Nowhere else.
The free app saves everything inside the web browser on the computer you use it on. Nothing is sent to us — the app has no connection to our servers at all. We could not look at your client list if we tried, because we never have it.
The honest trade-off: because it lives on one computer, it's only on that computer. Use the app's Export backup now and then, the same way you'd photocopy important paperwork. If the computer dies, the backup is what saves you.
Paid plan — $39.99/mo
On your computer, plus a copy in your account.
When you connect the paid plan, the app also keeps a copy of your data in your NoraWorx account — that's what lets your phone and your laptop show the same jobs, and what protects you if a computer dies.
That copy sits on professionally run servers in the United States, and the connection to them is encrypted — meaning the information is scrambled while it travels, the same protection your online banking uses.
Your account is opened with a sync token — a long code that works like a key to your data. Only you have it. Treat it like a key: anyone who has the token can reach your business data, and you can replace it at any time if you think it leaked.
What do you know about me?
On the free plan: nothing, unless you email us. On the paid plan: your email address, your business name, and your synced app data. Card payments are handled by Stripe, a payment company used by millions of businesses — we never see your card number.
What we will never do
- Sell your information, or your customers' information, to anyone.
- Put ads in the app.
- Read through your jobs and clients. Your synced data is yours; we store it, we don't browse it.
- Lock you in. Your data exports from the app any time, free or paid.
What if I cancel the paid plan?
The app keeps working as the free version, with your data still on your computer. You lose the extras — the shared copy, card payments, AI drafting — not your information.
